Auxiliary to Driscoll Children's Hospital

Volunteers are members of the Auxiliary to Driscoll Children's Hospital and pay a $5 membership fee annually. This covers the expense of social functions and their award winning monthly newsletter. Each year the Auxiliary helps with special events and conducts numerous fund raising functions. These efforts support their generous donation of $150,000 to the Children's Miracle Network Telethon.

Benefits include:

  • Free meal for each shift worked
  • Fun social and recognition events throughout the year
  • Interaction with dedicated colleagues who are happy to have you as part of the team
  • Personal satisfaction and respect for a job well done

To apply

Please complete the Volunteer Application packet, and return it to our office by mail, fax (361-808-2096) or by dropping off your completed application at the Welcome Center in the Main Lobby of the Hospital. Upon review of your completed application including three personal references plus a clear background check, you may be invited to an interview with one of our Volunteer Coordinators. Once accepted into the Auxiliary, you will be required to attend a volunteer orientation and submit to a TB and measles immunity test at no cost to you. Auxilians also pay $5 per year in dues and are issued a uniform top and a photo ID badge to be worn while on duty in the hospital.
