Craniofacial Reconstruction/Cleft Palate

Driscoll Children's Craniofacial and Cleft Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive craniofacial and cleft care to the children and adults of Texas and the world. Strategically located in Corpus Christi, Texas, the Driscoll Children's Craniofacial and Cleft Center is the only facility of its kind in South Texas.

The Center and its staff of experts work diligently to provide early diagnoses, compassionate care and holistic management to patients who present to our Center with congenital and/or acquired anomalies of the face and craniofacial region. Focused on excellence, the Center and its staff embrace the internationally recognized and accepted treatment parameters put forth by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), yet we never lose sight of the patient as a unique individual. We appreciate the fact that as children grow and develop, their problems and needs also change. Recognizing this, we are determined to change and adapt with you.

At the Driscoll Center, we design an individualized treatment plan just for you. Since our primary focus is the treatment of complex facial anomalies, such as cleft lip and palate, and/or syndrome based issues, you can be assured that your treatment plan will incorporate up-to-date techniques.

Committed to the whole child, the Craniofacial Center experts are attuned to the physical and emotional well-being of their patients. Working with each patient, we provide tailored and coordinated services designed to enhance you and your child. We believe that paying attention to details such as dentofacial and orthodontic anomalies, feeding difficulties, speech and hearing problems and social adjustment concerns is part and parcel to comprehensive care.

In 1997, the U.S. Surgeon General's Report on Children with Special Needs mandated comprehensive, coordinated, culturally sensitive, specific and readily accessible care for all special needs children. We at the Driscoll Children's Craniofacial and Cleft Center subscribe to the same philosophy as well as to the Team Standards set out by the ACPA. We realize the importance and impact of our care. Thus, we at the Center embrace the credo that: To Change a Child's Face is to Change a Child's Life.
