Lo que hacemos:
El servicio de Nefrología ofrece consultoría y tratamiento para todos los tipos de trastornos infecciosos, estructurales y funcionales de los riñones y el sistema urinario. Nuestro equipo multidisciplinario de médicos, una enfermera especializada, enfermeras, trabajadores sociales y dietistas colaboran estrechamente para proporcionar una atención completa y personalizada.
Para los pacientes con insuficiencia renal, proporcionamos hemodiálisis en el centro y diálisis peritoneal domiciliaria, así como servicios de diálisis para pacientes hospitalizados. Ofrecemos varias formas de terapia de reemplazo renal continua para pacientes en estado crítico. Promovemos activamente el trasplante renal y prestamos atención pre y pos trasplante aquí en nuestro centro de trasplantes pediátricos.
Cuando se requiere una biopsia del riñón, ofrecemos una biopsia percutánea mínimamente invasiva, con orientación de ultrasonido en tiempo real cuando es necesario.
Tenemos clínicas en Corpus Christi, McAllen, Brownsville, Harlingen, Laredo y Victoria. Una clínica especial para pacientes con lupus eritematoso sistémico proporciona atención colaborativa con un reumatólogo pediátrico y un nefrólogo pediátrico presente.
