Driscoll celebrates two decades in Brownsville

On Wednesday Nov. 6, Driscoll marked two decades of service at Driscoll Medical Plaza – Brownsville, celebrating a longstanding commitment to providing specialized pediatric care for South Texas families.

Originally established in 2004, the clinic has played a pivotal role in expanding Driscoll’s reach, delivering essential health services for children across the Rio Grande Valley.

The event saw remarks from Driscoll leaders, and families attending enjoyed information booths, snacks, giveaways and other fun activities.

Matt Wolthoff, President of Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley, underscored Driscoll’s dedication to building a healthier Valley by continually expanding services, highlighting the nonprofit’s journey that Brownsville was a part of long before the clinic opened in 2004.

“Driscoll has proudly cared for Brownsville children for decades. Today we celebrate not only our history but our future,” Wolthoff said in a statement. “As our new hospital grows, Driscoll’s presence in Brownsville will grow with it.”

“The Brownsville community has been instrumental in our journey,” said Sarah Garza, Driscoll VP of Clinic & Physicians Groups. “Over these two decades, we’ve expanded not just our services, but our relationships, becoming a trusted partner in the health of Valley families. We’re committed to growing this legacy of care for many years to come.”
