Driscoll Honored with 50 National Healthcare Advertising Awards

Driscoll Children’s Hospital received top honors at the 42nd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, earning 50 national awards—more than any other healthcare institution in the country.

The competition received more than 4,300 submissions from over 330 healthcare organizations across the United States, making it the largest and most widely recognized healthcare advertising competition in the nation. Notably, Driscoll received one of only 17 “Best of Show” distinctions for its “Together, we heal” campaign, along with 21 Gold Awards—a testament to its efforts in healthcare communication.

“We are honored that our work to communicate with patients and families has been recognized,” said Gerardo Muyshondt, Senior Director of Marketing & Community Relations. “Part of excellent healthcare means excellent communication. We’re proud that our efforts help families better understand their child’s healthcare journey. We’re especially proud of how creative our team has been in finding new ways to connect.”

Several of Driscoll’s award-winning projects reflect a continued focus on helping families navigate and understand complex healthcare information:

  • NICU Parent Journal, a thoughtfully designed tool to help families track milestones, understand their baby’s care, and feel more connected during their NICU journey.
  • Patient Handbook: Driscoll Rehab Book, supporting families of children undergoing rehabilitation services with clear guidance and expectations.
  • Special Video: Colton’s Fight – A New Heart, a New Life, tells the story of Colton Cates, born with a life-threatening heart defect and saved by Driscoll’s Heart Center team. The video honors Colton’s successful surgery and recovery.

The awards also recognized Driscoll’s creativity across formats, including Golds for its trade show booth, promotional collections, blog site, e-newsletter, social media content, and magazine advertising. The Healthcare Advertising Awards are judged by a national panel of experts and coordinated by Healthcare Marketing Report.
