On regular nursing floors, our rooms can accommodate one parent comfortably with a provided bedside chair that folds out into a sleep cot. If additional family members plan to come to Driscoll to provide support, here is a list of nearby hotels to help them plan their stay.

Discounted room rates for out-of-town parents with a child in intensive care.
If your child is in one of our intensive care units and you live more than 50 miles away, you may qualify for a room at Ronald McDonald House or the Jim Duff Family Rooms at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Corpus Christi at a low rate. Max space in rooms: two people in a twin room and four people in a double room.

Medicaid lodging for out-of-town parents with a child in intensive care
If your child is in one of our intensive care units and you live more than 60 miles away, you may qualify for a hotel room through the Medicaid program. Medicaid has contracts with Ronald McDonald House, the Jim Duff Family Rooms at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Corpus Christi (up to four people max) and may be able to set you up at a nearby hotel if our on-site facilities are full.

Lodging options for additional family members or out-of-town guests
Because there is not enough room for additional family members to sleep at bedside and no more than four people can be accommodated at Ronald McDonald or the Jim Duff Family Rooms at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Corpus Christi, we have a list of local hotels that may be able to offer low rates.
