Anesthesia is medication that prevents patients from feeling pain during surgery or other procedures. Whether it’s given as an injection, gas, or vapor, different types of anesthesia block nerve impulses and, therefore, pain.

An anesthesiologist is a doctor who specializes in giving and managing anesthetics. They closely monitor the medications with extremely capable technology.
